About Us

Who We Are

American Virtual started as US Airways Virtual Airlines and was initially founded by Humberto Aguin in 2004. David Athay was the organization’s Chief Operations Officer and worked to establish an Operations Manual and the initial system for accepting new pilots.

Modern, friendly, active. What more could you ask for in a Virtual Airline. I have been with many but this is hands down THE BEST! Their Discord channel is active and the staff works hard to keep the pilots engaged. This is not your run of the mill automated airline, it takes effort and commitment to work your way up which makes the entire experience so worthwhile and rewarding. I have seen nothing else like them out there.

A fantastic virtual airline; one of the best I have flown with over many years of flight simming. The various tools used to select and plan a flight are superb and make for a very professional experience. The management are very responsive and extremely helpful. Communication is regular, giving pilots the feeling of being a genuine part of the organization. This is something that maintains the enthusiasm and motivation to fly but that I have found to be lacking in many other VA’s.
