Every type of experience is welcome at American Virtual. The admission process requires a few conditions to be satisfied before moving forward. To remain active at American Virtual, pilots must log in to the Crew Center at least once every 30 days and complete at least one flight every 30 days. This ensures that pilots stay engaged and maintain their active status within the virtual airline.
We replicate a wide range of flight schedules for various airlines with the primary focus on American Airlines. We retrieve our schedules through FlightAware allowing our pilots to choose and simulate flights as per real-world airline operations. All schedules include detailed information about flight numbers, departure and arrival airports, aircraft types, timings, and duration.
American Virtual has a ranking system for pilots based on their total flight hours. As pilots accumulate more hours, they progress through various ranks, which include titles such as First Officer, Captain, and Senior Captain, among others. This system rewards pilots for their activity and experience within the virtual airline by unlocking new perks.
This is our one-of-a-kind amazing Pilot reward system. Premium Miles at American Virtual are reward points earned for completing flights, good landings, specific schedules, daily site logins, events, contests, and much more. These miles can be spent in the Pilot Shop and redeemed for real-world, tangible items. The system offers various incentives, enhancing the pilot’s experience and encouraging active participation.
Yes, American Virtual is completely free to join and participate in. Pilots can access all resources and features without any cost. Donations are welcome and accepted, allowing the virtual airline to cover monthly costs and operational expenses. This support helps maintain and improve the experience for all members.

Modern, friendly, active. What more could you ask for in a Virtual Airline. I have been with many but this is hands down THE BEST! Their Discord channel is active and the staff works hard to keep the pilots engaged. This is not your run of the mill automated airline, it takes effort and commitment to work your way up which makes the entire experience so worthwhile and rewarding. I have seen nothing else like them out there.
A fantastic virtual airline; one of the best I have flown with over many years of flight simming. The various tools used to select and plan a flight are superb and make for a very professional experience. The management are very responsive and extremely helpful. Communication is regular, giving pilots the feeling of being a genuine part of the organization. This is something that maintains the enthusiasm and motivation to fly but that I have found to be lacking in many other VA’s.
